They are perfect for rough areas of skin like your elbows, feet, cracked hands, but if you’re like me, you’ll end up using them everywhere (they smell so good!), another great use for the lavender lotion bar is to moisturize your tattoos, made of all-natural ingredients and essential oil these bar are perfect for tattoo care.

You can use them, by warming them up in your hands and spreading the softened lotion on your skin, but my favorite way is to step out a steaming hot shower, towel down quickly, and spread the bar directly on your skin section at a time, working the lotion left behind, in with your hands. I love using these bars right before bed since I wake up with soft smooth skin and a hint of the scent left behind – in the case of this bar, you'll love the scent of Sparkling Lavender Prosecco, with it's Sparking bubbles from aged oak, pink grapefruit and lemon zest blend with sweet orange, white thyme, lavender and amber.

If you thought yes, to any of the above, then you may find relief with Calm Balm: Rose & Lavender Sleep Aid – trust this neurotic beekeeper who spends most winter nights (and some summer ones as well), worrying how her bees are faring.

Studies suggest that the scent of lavender works by calming the central nervous system and promoting slow-wave sleep, which helps you sleep longer and better. While the scent of rose can reduce stress and lower the heart rate, it has also been shown to have anti-depressant benefits as it is traditionally used to calm and uplift.

Best used right before bed (but can be used during stressful times during the day), how this balm works, is by applying it to the temples, your hairline, the nape of your neck, and your pulse points in slow, rhythmic motions, gently rubbing the balm into your skin. I find that it really helps to practice deep breathing while doing so and perhaps play some calming music at a low volume that is on a timer so you can drift off to sleep worry-free. I also include a nice cup of herbal tea, made with lemon balm, lavender, chamomile, vanilla, rose petals and of course sweetened with a little honey.

This balm is available in a travel tube and a 2 oz tin.   Made in small batches, each is unique and may differ slightly in color/design from what is shown.
